Music on/off button affects video's sound

I have a music on/off button in the page.
In the same page I have video with controllers (play, pause, mute etc.)
If I press the music on/off button when the video plays, it will affect the video's sound also and the video turns to mute. I want to be independent these two and this music on/off button doesn't affect the video at all.

what is the coding on the mute button and how are your sounds set up, are they external or internal on the timeline?
