I think they're pretty cool. However, I dont think the art style between the characters and the weapons match. The weapons look blurry while the characters are more crisp.

Maybe try lowering that outer glow and applying some small solid shades on the weapons.

yeah I like the juxtaposition of the cute and violent... that would play off better I think if they matched in style, i.e., forget the blur with the guns, or even consider outlining and 2- or 3-color solid shading like the animals...

Anyway, nice job.
