I like the idea of it...walking on water under the permanent threat to slip but the stepping stones give you a safe walk...uphill !!
At least that is what I read

Don't like the boat behind you...you should be 2 steps more to the left!

not sure why i didn't say what i don't like about it (sorry!).....

i don't like the boat behind the head.
and i don't like the blown out effect on the rocks and on the left hand side.

but i do like the 'stepping position' the person is in and the reflection looks cool.

Thanks for the comments guys, At first I was like Carly, what don't you like about it...??

OK, Now this wasn't me, it was an asian guy among a group of tourists they decided to walk on this line of stones, I was quite away, and the other shots away from the boat didn't have the Stepping position which I liked the most, hmmm I'll post another less contrasted copy and you guys tell me what you think about it

I considered removing the boat, or at least replacing it with a section from on of the other shots, but that would be against my -No Photo Editing- policy

So I'll post a regular contrast version, and one more with a different angle, hopefully with less boat in it

thanks for the help you guys

Much better. Maybe a LITTLE bit more with the water but I like 2 way better then 1.

    good work.

    good work.

Thanks Wakka Wakka Glad you like it man

What do you mean by a little bit more with the water??

It looks a bit dull I know, but it was a very Grey day, more blue with the water will the render the guy a different skin tone

I'm thinking of a B&W or a Sepia version of it...

I said water effect but that is not really what I meant to say...I would like to see more of the water surface not only some ripples.

    Ahh OK

I think I know what you mean now, the problem as I mentioned above it was a very Grey day as well as the sky's reflection, so in order to get the sea to look like one, I'll have to tweak the levels heavily and end up with an orange guy or so

yeah i much prefer the second one.

i agree with frex and wannabe i think about the water. you'd probably have to seperate the man and the water to separate layers so you could alter the water while not touching the man. not sure how much you could do with it though in PS, and i know you don't like doing too much PSing of your photos anyway

I think I can get away by having the guy's face only on a separate layer, and then toying with the levels of the rest of the image, I can live with a slightly bluer shirt, but not an orange face

Hmmmm, version 3.0 coming up soon

    thanks everyone
