    Office boredom...

As the title suggests, I’m stuck in an office and bored. all taken with D70s + 50mm 1.8

my office backs onto the top floor of our warehouse in which there is a room that houses all the air con units. For some reason these toilets and this fan live there.

    ceiling lights

    out my window

    nice cup of tea

dead joss sticks (some of which were used for the smoke photos in another thread)

the inside of a cigar lighter that I bought from eBay but didn't fit

What a wonderful boring job you have
Don't you use the toilets by mistake !! *gg*
Love the tea which is a tad too light and the town view!

    Hehe

Luckily for them there is a working loo closer by!

The tea was a tough one, I wanted it to be fairly washed out but it looks much better on my work monitor than on my laptop screen.

i like the tea picture (but then i have a soft-spot for tea, i drink it by the pint). it is very washed out on my monitor (took me a whlie to spot the outline of the cup at all), but after a bit of adjusting i like it a lot. how did you get it so white? was there a lot of photoshopping involved?

the photo out of the window is actually kinda cool too. do i detect abit of HDR going on?

    I'm a tea fiend also!

I used some inkjet photo paper as a background and shot with an overhead soft box. Adjusted the levels in PS whilst masking out the actual tea, so it stayed tea coloured. Quite a bit of cheating I suppose, but it was just for fun

Did virtually nothing to the out the window shot, one stroke of burn across the sky to darken it. Was using a polarizing filter though.

    wow, looks very HDRish.

you did a good job on the cuppa tea. looks like it was done in a studio to me (and who cares how you acheived it?!)
