Canon S3
Anyone tried this camera yet? I used to have the S2 and LOVED it but I felt the need(Why?!?!?!) to upgrade to a Rebel XT, which I sold because it was way to much for me

Looks like a 6Mp fixed lens canon. Why was the RebelXT too much for you?

I loved the camera it just had ALOT more than I needed in a camera. I thought i would be good for me but it wasn't..I need something that can take video's as well as pictures(I have 2 kids)

Go G7 or better, G6 if you can find it, same features, higher res -although the same sensor size- and great features that will ease the transfer to a DSLR once you feel like it

the only thing that kills me now (low on $$$) is the cost of the g6 and g7.

I've seen some nice pictures from the S3's. Even with the 1.75 Tele-adaptor.

Well, unless your really into getting a slr, the S3 seems like one heck of a camera. I've seen pictures from them with that tele extender on it, that equal images from a Canon 5D. Really smooth, creamy shots, no grain at all.

Yeah i've been looking at pictures all week from the s3...i think you just sold me on it geezer

Just sent you a PM. I'm really impressed with this camera. If I ever have to get rid of my 30D, I think I'd get one of these to replace it. It might have less bells and whistles, but man, the image quality is better than my camera.
