    Quick question about fonts

Hi, I just switched back over ot a mac after quite sometime and my website that I'm building had fonts on it that I downloaded, I went and downloaded the same fonts onto my mac and put them in the fonts folder but they aren't on the list. Where are they supposed to go? Sorry mac users, lame question I know, but I imagine one of you can tell me before I figure it out on my own.

You can put them in your library folder or the computer library folder.
    That's:
    /Users/yourusername/Library/Fonts
    or
    /Library/Fonts

Computer library folder makes them accessible to all users on the machine.

It is possible that the fonts aren't in a format your Mac will recognise (e.g. .afm or .pfm), or if you're using Flash that you only have the bitmap versions (Flash requires the postscript or vector versions).

When I used a pc I would be able to download fonts from this site 1001freefonts.com and it would work just fine with flash and everything else... is there something im missing? Does flash only require postscript and vector only on a mac? I just can't seem to get this to work.

The fonts from that site seem to be ttf if they're pc format, which should work fine in OS X and Flash. Try logging out and back in again (not that you should need to).

nah, I'm saying if you've got them in PC format already (ttf), you can use those.
Otherwise, it doesn't really matter so get the Mac ones.
