    Just been on...

... a mini adventure in some underground bunker.

me on the right. The hole in the roof is how we got out, which was quite a squeeze for a fatty like my.

me and matey jumping down the tunnel with our torches.

    more practice required I think

This is annoyingly noisy, but I reckon I'll try this again next time.

At the deepest parts we were about 100m down. The tunnels went on forever and it was so quiet and dark. We had to drop in through a tiny hole and I was feeling very claustrophobic, then about 30 seconds later the fun kicked in

Very nice Matt. Did you use a wide angle lens?

    I love places like this.

    Thanks

I took my 18-70mm but kept to 18mm most of the time. Hopefully gonna go back to this place next week with more torches, lenses and time.

Only just started getting into this sort of thing but loving it already.

Might want to get a weather report before going into tunnels.

This is some amazing work. Not to compare you to anyone or anything but that first shot has a very "What The Heck Journal" feel to it. Love the whole series.

Be careful with certain gases down there which could possibly harm you!
Is that a mudguard in the 1.shot from an old Brough Superior? I want it!!
Great scenery and good creativity with the light effects

There were all sorts of wheels, engines & frames down there... no clue how or why they're there though

A guy I went with knew about it. He's into all this Urban Exploration and has started showing me a few places recently.

It was beneath some woods that are next to an abandoned Mental Asylum (which we'll hopefully be checking out soon) not far from where I live.

We got in through a tiny gap in a wall of one of the tunnels but the opening in the picture is new apparently. The concrete had been smashed through.

It was quite trippy being surrounded by nothing but torch light and silence for over an hour then clambering out into some dense woods.

These photos are ace!! Me likes the final tunnel one. Where is the light coming from in that one? Either i'm amazed that it follows all the way down like that, or there's a sneaky bit of photoshopping involved...? I can hardly tell sometimes with the stuff on this forum when the photos are so good in the first place!

also... the idea of urban exploration sounds wicked... i think i want a new hobby
