...amazing that it lasted this long really, that app has been around for so long in the face of so much good opposition. Obvious what would happen once Adobe got their hands on it.

when's the last time someone sent you a freehand file? It's been dead for a long time.
That muffled thumping sound? That's me dancing on its grave. I didn't hate the program, it just made everything twice as hard and half as editable.

I used to love Illustrator, then I met Freehand.

    I've never looked back since.

No lose here.. never could get on with Freehand, as much as my colleagues I used to work with use to try making me see the light with FH.... Illustrator always seemed easier for me to use, personnel preference
and in a blink of an eye...

I on the other hand am an illustrator evangelist.

I can use Illustrator but I never could figure out Freehand. Of course, I'm not a trained graphic designer, either.

Oh, <erases misconception>I still love Illustrator, its a lovely app! Its just that my main line of work (Printing) makes me appreciate Freehand more. I offer the oxymoron: Both are similar yet different, each with their own strengths and weaknesses.</erases misconception>

And that I'm sad to read on Freehand not being the focus of anymore upgrades. Ish.
