You could end up learning Ruby as an unintentional byproduct of enjoying this book

    http://poignantguide.net/ruby/

Damn funny book, even if you dont want to learn Ruby, the book is still so much fun ... you really could learn Ruby as an unintentional byproduct of reading it for pure enjoyment, now how does that sound?

I dug through some of why the lucky stiff's other more concise documents; and i just can't handle his wacky nonsense when i'm actually trying to learn the language. it's like my brain is hard-wired to look for familiar concepts when i'm learning a new language, and his wackyness gets in the way.

with that said, just reading the poignant guide for fun (as opposed to learn the language) is ok for me, i guess, in small doses.
I ask you all to concentrate really hard on the freedom of all being. Its hard not to be very angry it is impossible We have to focus this confusion frustration helplessness feeling into a creative outlet Anger can spawn such amazing creativity through Street art Free art to teach each other know each other a language our evolution Go ahead and break some dumb rules

agreed. i enjoyed the first few pages, but then i got lost in all the off topic one sided conversations with himself. I have no clue about RoR, and i started to understand it a bit...but it seemed to be lacking the real world examples i'm used to.

In his defense, i did get a couple chuckles out of the wackyness.
