    Background Image With SWF Object

    I want to use the SWFObject technique in getting around the activating Control thing with IE. But my flash html page has a repeating colour gradient image for a background, how can I tell the code to do this?

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Regards,

    With this part of the code:

    <script type="text/javascript">
    // <![CDATA[

    var so = new SWFObject("index.swf", "Verge Landscape Architecture", "100%", "100%", "8", "#666666");
    so.addVariable("flashVarText", "this is passed in via FlashVars for example only");
    so.addParam("scale", "noscale");
    so.write("flashcontent");

    // ]]>
    </script>

    It makes the background a static colour, no matter what I specify earlier in the HTML. If I leave it out it makes it a greyish white colour. How can I tell it to have my background as an image?

    that should only be for the flash movie properties..it has nothing to do with the HTML page the flash movie is embedded into.

    Im not sure how you are embedding your movies I guess? where is the 'flashcontent' DIV container (or whatever)
