Adobe has a bunch of new goodies available now on labs. Check the links for more info.
Flex 3 Beta. Flex 3 already?! Yup and there are a bunch of new features packed into this one.

The Apollo Beta, now called Adobe Integrated Runtime or AIR, is available as well.

Last but not least, test drive the latest Flash Player. 300 some bug fixes, hardware scaling and multi thread support are a few of the key updates. This has the possibility to kick performance up quite a few notches.

anything drastically change in flex 3 beta? i have purchased flex 2 for pc and been reading book after book but havent really gotten to the point of building anything yet because i want to have more knowledge (and dedication to finish a project :P)
and in the meantime i switched to running a mac, and i have been worried id have to repurchase flex2 for mac, but i just dled the beta 3 and wondered if i could get by using this? or if what im learning for lfex 2 wont work with flex 3?

For just starting out, I don't think there would be anything too significant that couldn't be taken between versions if you needed to. Also, you could continue to use the new sdk if you couldn't upgrade to Flex 3 right away when it's released.

can you register the beta with a flex 2 reg to get it to not expire afgter 30 days, or do they plan to keep releasing betas that will restart the 30 day demo period. cause id like to run the beta till flex 3 is out, which i heard wont be till fall 2007

This always causes me a headache. they are claiming so and so many have downloaded the player, BUT it is an old version of it. Now you develop everything using the new player, but most of the users have an old faulty player.
How do you cope up with that?

I think FB3 is just cranking out code far faster than FB2. My compile times have been cut in half. I like the new additions.
AIR beta is rocking cool too.

Unbelievable size reductions with the new compiler options!!!
I really like the way we can host our own RSL as a fall back and not have to force the latest FP9 player. This allows any FP9 to interact while still reaping the benefits of the cache.
Between things like that with the new Flex, AIR having proprietary SQLLite support and the super cool dragin /dragout capabilities of AIR.....I'm just blown away compared to how I was doing things with Flex 2 for the web and Flex 2/Zinc for the desktop.
