Ming for Python on Windows Vista

I'm trying to get Ming working in Python on Windows Vista.

The thing is, I know pretty much nothing about Python.

I'm following the instructions on this page:
    http://eratosthenes.wordpress.com/20...ng-on-windows/
I got up to step 9, but "./configure" gives the error message "C Compiler cannot generate executable files.".

So, if anyone can tell me how to do this, or give me any other ways to get Ming working in Python2.4 on Vista, that would really be helpful.

    Hi,

to be honest, I have never used a compiler on windows, but it seems -after googling for that error message - that you might not have a compiler, or that there is something wrong with it. Can you compile a simple "hello, world" type c program?
If that works, you might want to look at the config.log file - it should show how configure attempted to test the compile
