    Upload files to server

I am building a desktop app (mac and pc) and it has to upload a bunch of files - pdf's, word docs and images - to a server side script. This has to be done via HTTP and cannot be FTP. The problem arrises because I do not want the user to have to select the file/s before uploading so I cannot use the flash 8 FileReference class. The user should be able to drag the required files onto the application.

I would appreciate if anyone can point me in the right direction.

    Many thanks

What application are you using as your desktop runtime?

    MDM Zinc or Apollo?

I was planning on using Zinc. Unfortunately Apollo is still in beta form and the client is not so keen. Also the app needs to run from a flash drive without installing anything on the users hard drive. As far as I am aware Apollo / Air requires the runtime to be installed on the users hard drive
