    Record Screen Activity

I need to create a flash movie of someone logging into a website. I'm thinking that the best way might be to just record the screen and then convert it to flash? If so, is there a free screen recording software that would be good for this? I just want to record a part of the screen. Thanks!!

Thanks swak.. I found a couple but was wondering if there is a free one you guys could recommend.

Would I be recording in AVI format? If so, how do I drop it in to my flash document?

    Thanks

If you have at least flash 8 then you should have a video encoder that comes with flash 8.

I'm not sure in that case. You could try using some other software to convert it like from this google search: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&s...wnload&spell=1 but I don't know how that version will handle it. You could also look at importing.

Aint much animation in "somebody logging in a website".

    1) still pic of browser
    2) cursor moves to adress bar
    3) URL being typed in
    4) cursor moves to "go" - "go" button gets on over/press gfx
    5) elements of pages poped in (add a litle animation for the status bar if you want)

I aint gonna take the day...gets your hand at work buddy...I wont even bother searching for a soft, and if you got a avi, pics will be compressed so expect low pixelazied quality too.
Hope nobody knows I am still on Flash 5

vidshot capturer is a freeware by geovid.
if you will need the sounds for the captured video - use screenvid shot - the same developer

I guess you need a software of making tutorial by capturing series of screenshots.
I have used Wondershare DemoCreator, And you can also download it for a free trial.
DemoCreator is more than a software of screen capture. It can record desktop screen activities, create live flash demo, video tutorial directly. And the captured screenshots are editable. By that you can add insteractive elements, such as button, vioce, annotation, to guide the visters of your website.

    More details about Demo Creator

You can download it free from
