This is more along the lines of what I was thinking. These are all free fonts, easy to find and download.

Hey Rush, I'm not sure if it is the laptop here, but I can't see the image.
Thanks for the help, I'm sure it is great .
You're always so helpful.

What's your opinion?
In response to a post I made in the Design and Graphics forum, Gerbs suggested that the logo I had made for my company wasn't classy enough, and leveraged the 'X' games more than our brand. As a result, I posted a contest on Worth1000 to try to get something better.
Which one do you guys think is the best?

Thanks!!!

surely this would be better on one of the other boards (design and graphics?), but anyway......
out of those submitted, these were my personal favourites, in no particular order (bearing in mind the info you gave about the company):

not sure if it's just me, but i'm not sure why the initials are FX, when the company is 'fasion exlusives'. if you have to use the initials, shouldn't it just be FE (which admittedly doesn't work so well)? just seems a little odd to me.

Hmm. I tried posting on this board, and I got some support from Rush and Gerbs, but they both suggested that the use of non-free fonts would likely be best. I suspected that if I posted on Worth (which costs money!) that they would use some professional fonts.
Unfortunately, it looks like I could have made all of those myself and saved some money. I just wish someone understood that something along the lines of those top designer labels is what we are looking for. Not something typed using Times New Roman, Arial, Garamond, Bookerville, or any number of other free fonts. I can see that the vast majority of those logos use fonts that can be found bundles with PS, or on DaFont.com.
*sighs*

i didn't think the reason you posted on worth1000 was so much your reluctance to pay for fonts as your lack of creative ideas.
so are you saying there is nothing there which you would consider using?

This is true. I'm not very creative and I assumed someone would come up with something really great (such as I have seen in some of the other competitions there). Unfortunately I'm really not a big fan of any of those logos. I would really like to hear Gerbick's opinion, as he was the catalyst for this decision.
The only one I sort of like is the one that uses a cursive type font that looks like a signature. I think that is the only one that looks designer-esque.

i hope you're not talking about this one? you can't even read it....

Yea, that one. I would have had the cursive as the logo, and then put a nice font underneath.
Maybe that is not right. I wish I had better design sense.

Yea. We are targetting females 16-24 that have a lot of money from mommy and daddy and are looking for places to spend it. Luckily, Toronto has lots of these.

I like these the best out of anything so far. The first seems to have the rich/classy thing you may be looking for. Yet the second has a look that might appeal more to your age group.
But what do I know, I'm so doped up on meds right now I cant even feel my head.

Haha. Hope you feel better Elen.
I do like those, I just don't want to be restrictive once we expand our market to encompass everyone aged 16-24.

Is it me, or do all of these look a little 'dated?'
