How do you uninstall programs on Mac?
i need to take some programs off my mac and have never done it before. is it like windows where you need to click some uninstall button or something in the finder? or do you simply just delete the application from the applications folder? whats the proper way to do it?

Nope. Just drag it to the trash and empty it. That will sometimes leave various files around the system, but it very rarely will present a problem. Some Mac application installers will also let you uninstall, so you may want to look at that first before just trashing it.

Most applications are self contained except for the preferences file (a few Kb).
Sometimes there might be a folder in Application Support, e.g. the Adobe Applications put things in here.
