Flash container to preview MPEG4 - possible?

    Hi,

Is it possible to build a flash container into which mpeg4 movies can be loaded dynamically.

Basically, I have potentially 1000s of MPEG4 clips. I'd like to put these on a web gallery, so that each is a static Flash movie which then starts to play the first few seconds of the movie when someone mouses over that flash movie. Rather than have to individually compile 1000s of Flash clips, is it possible just to build one container and pass in the URL of an MPEG file so that it's done dynamically?

Thanks for any pointers - I've not used flash since MX, so am well behind with what it can do.

    Thanks folks....

Unfortunately, no, you cannot load mpeg4 clips at runtime. Only .flv. So you would need to convert all your clips to flv and then you can do exactly what you wanted. Or even .swfs.
