    halo3.com/believe - Halo 3 Believe

    Halo 3 Believe

This website has become rather famous over the last two weeks or so. Even though I don't play Halo, the work is rather breathtaking in my opinion and has made a strong impression on me. There are some very emotionally moving and interesting elements to explore.

That is some impressive work there for sure. When a site can make me feel nervous, happy, sad, freaked out, it is a well done site.

The tech look with the freeze framed surreal look and feel really makes an impact on the viewer, like it is supposed to do.

    how?

my question is how the heck did they import all of that 3D bitmap data into Flash? i guess they exported the data from the game software in some way or another, but what format would they have brought it into Flash?

does anyone know how they did this?

i didn't know Flash could handle this kind of 3D rendering.

It's probably a few videos linked together.

ah, i could see that. so the control just plays you forward or backward through the piece keyframe by keyframe, and at cuePoints the clickable objects appear--their positions set manually on the stage--not really linked to the objects in the video. that's pretty slick.
