Firefox vs Internet Explorer?!

Quick question:
why doe IE require you to click within the flash prior to being able to use the application on the web, while Firefox seems to work as is?

Any help will be appreciated.

You can search these forums for "Eolas" and find quite a bit about what flash and web developers think about it.

There is support on the adobe site with information on how to publish your files with a workaround to fix this.

if you publish swf in HTML with CS3 you get a JS file that creates all the HTML code dynamically (no activation clicking needed in that case)
that`s Adobe`s solution, there`s also Swf Object JS class (SO) as alternative...

It's not only IE that requires this 'one click'. All the mozilla projects (Firefox, Flock...) are built so that flash can be used immediatly, it works the same with Netscape (espacialy from version 9 because it is based on Mozilla's engine) and Safari. IE, Opera and some other browsers for MAC requires annoying this first click. I guess this JS script with CS3 is the solution to the problem.
Where else can it be found?
