Halo - Gamespot - How to achieve the BG effect

Hi there,

I love the look of this BG and wonder how they did it. It works with any resolution without disturbing the text presented on the site. Any suggestions or links to tutorials would be great.

Those are pretty cool, aren't they? Really all it is, is a background image for the page, plus an image within the page that's made to exactly line up with the background image. It works on any resolution because it's a fixed width page, small enough to fit on an 800 x 600 screen.

You can get an idea of how it works by browsing the page in Firefox (or another browser that will let you resize fonts regardless of how they're defined) and sizing up the text. You'll see the image in the page slides out of alignment.
