Flash help to stop animation and keep others in loop

I am trying to stop animation in some layers while letting it run in others.

Does anyone know how to do this?

Don't think that's possible. However what you can do is have an animation in a movie clip. In a sense each movie clip is like one or more layers. From that you can decide which movie clips (layers) to play or stop.
