    Wrong rendering?

I've just started using swift. I've made the top picture, a dark circle object. I go directly to 'preview and export', click to render it and I get the lower picture. Much lighter, hardly any surface etc. Am I doing something wrong? Have I perhaps forgotten a certain step? Or is it just my Mac not working right? I've downloaded the trial for Mac.

O wait, I've use a reflective skin on it (without any objects to reflect into it, just 2 light sources). Still it would be nice if the scene editor displayed the sphere the same way as the eventually rendered image. Isn't that possible?

You can render the viewports in the Scene Editor using either the 'Render Window' or 'Render Rectangle' buttons on the main toolbar.

Also, reflective materials will naturally reflect objects around them, but they will also reflect whatever is set up as the Environment on the Properties Toolbar.
