freelancing

Any freelancers out there?
I am getting ready to do some flash sites for someone and I am trying to figure out what to charge. I was wondering if any of you have had any experience doing this. I have heard it is better to charge by the project, not the hour.

I would call myself an intermediate flash person, I have my own site and I am in Jacksonville, FL, not a big city.

Any thoughts?
