    (3ds max8) quick question

    stupid question really...

how to you view the wireframe in your viewport, even if the material is viewable, etc. I see lots of examples of peoples work fully textured, finished, etc, then another image of that 3d art but with the wireframes visible...

I can't find the controls in 3ds max 8 to make it visible both during work and when you render it...

    thanks
    Jeff

Hit M (Material Editor) and tick the checkbox next to Wire. You can also control the parameters of this material type via the "Extended Parameters" rollout.

I'll be happy to help you further

    Good luck.

    F3 / F4 in the viewport

    for rendering output:
'wire' checkbox in any default material
    or
within the default scanline renderer settings render as wireframe
