Spinning Cd

I'm trying to make it look like my movieclip cd is spinning. i do not want it simply rotating around some point, rather I want it to where it looks like it is playing in a cdplayer.

If I understand you correctly...you want th shiny reflective part to stay on one spot, while you can actually see the grooves or texture of the cd spin around....

If so...
Create 2 layers.
1 for the shiny part
1 for the texture part then rotate it.
This doesn't require actionscript
