Side Project
I got bored and decided to work on a side project. Here you go. Planet Fritz.
Let me know what you think of the planet and any changes that need to be made before I add it into the rest of the image.
Much appreciated.

hey e, i'm gonna move this over the design/graphics forum. I think that's a better place for this.

Not a problem, I guess I should have looked at the titles before I did it. Ohwell.

I had a bit more free time, so I finished it up. Relatively.
Let me know if you spot anything.

HUH?
Get rid of that bloody line. How many times do I have to tell you. BLEH!

You pick a different line every time I ask which one! BAH!

Fine, what color is it then? Give me a swatch of it and I'll take out all lines of that color...

Oh those! I'll get one those later, but they will get done. I need to blend a bit more with the starfield first.

Yeah, I would get rid of that big arse line.
The planet looks pretty good, but in addition to the ones Pea pointed out, I would suggest you go through and fix the other irregularities as well. In most cases this would be anywhere things look too regular. You just don't find that many straight lines in nature.
As for the starfield, that looks good overall, but it seems just a little too dense and just a little too crisp.
So what did you use to create this? Did you make it in Photoshop or did you use some other means?

The stars density seems to change depending on how bright your monitor is. Mine is set to 60% and it barely seems like enough stars. Yet at home on my laptop there are stars everywhere. >.< Way too many.
Yeah, I fixed all those lines, and many others.
Yes, just photoshop over a few days.

hey e, this looks great. love the planet and the rings are just gorgeous.
The lines that are specified above aren't as big as a problem to me (it is your planet after all, you can do what you want ). I def agree with the star field though. Too crisp which makes the image lack depth. Clean that up and i think you've got yourself a winner
edit: you posted while i was writing....stars are definitely a step in the right direction.

I seem to see too much of a cloud filter type of effect going on in the starfield. Every time i look it kind of catches my eye.
I think the planet itself looks great though!

Developing For Dunkets
Those rings around around the planet are throwing me off. I had a hard time focusing because I kept seeing those things. I would think that if you were that close to the planet the rings would no longer look like rings but like dust/rocks going around the planet. Rough it up some. Overall its coming together nicely
