[PS CS3] How do I make a rainbow in Photoshop?

    Sounds easy:

Just use the gradient tool and select the gradient that looks like a rainbow
    BUT
How do I bend the "band" of gradient I have just made into an arch?

    Actually, it is easy.

Create a rectangular band/strip of color travelling horizontally across the center of a square document. Apply your rainbow gradient band then go to Filter>Distort>Polar Coordinates and choose 'Rectangular to Polar'. This will give you a circle that you should then be able to modify to taste.

    Yes that did work great!
I have a few extra steps to make it look better:

Insert a new layer and in it
    Apply gradient tool>rainbow
    Convert layer into smart object
    Apply olar Coordinates filter
    transform
convert layer back to a normal layer
One blurred photo is a mistake, 10 blurred photos are an experiment,
100 blurred photos is a style
