    output as a gif

Do anyone know what setting should I suppose to use to output a gif with transparent bg? Whenever I output a gif, there are some white dots around the icon or some part of logo is missing

    http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4.../564564564.png

this is the logo before and after I output as a gif. Lefthand side is the one I output as a gif. The bottom part corner looks a bit strange. Do anyone know what's wrong?

    errr...
Could you give us something a little bigger to look at? That's minuscule.
Is it animated? If not, your best bet is to save as a .tif - it'll retain the transparency that much better.
Larger file size, but it does end up looking a bit better.

What's your application for this gif? If its for web, I'd recommend saving as PNG with transparency. They retain colours better.

If its for usage within your desktop publishing tools (Ai/FH/etc) saving as Tiff/psd will do.

The easiest thing to do when outputing to gif is set your background as close to what you will overlay it on as possible then choose that as the transparency color. If there are any artifacts they won't be noticiable.

OK, I'm not sure what's everyone talking about but why not go into Photoshop, save the image as a transparent gif ( CTRL + ALT + SHIFT + S ) or as a png-24 with transparency...
