    Percentage preloader?

    Hi there!
First I would like to say that I am really excited about the progress 3DFA has made. The latest version that I am using now (4.9.7.8) is by far the best one! Okay, now my problem, for which I need some help...

I am making a website which uses a pre-loader movie (let us say: loader.swf). In this movie I use the "Loader" element to load the movie holding the website's content (let us say: content.swf). I use the option to show the progress bar, which all works very nice.

However, I want to display the "percentage loaded" above the progress bar. In earlier versions of 3DFA I could create a simple script to get the bytes loaded etc., and then use the variable to be displayed in an editbox.

How is this done using AS3? Could anyone help me out a bit?

Thank you very much in advance!

    Cheers

After looking up 3dfa loader sample it was quite easy,.. I added few lines to it and editbox to display the text. Just look inside the loader script how it was done.

Have you tried with standard 3dfa preloader? does it too take all CPU power or is it just my version that does it?
