2007-2009 security update

Software update had an update with the above title. When I installed it I could not restart the computer any more. So I had to press the mouse to insert the startup-CD. It turned out that the disc had to be repaired. There were several problems. Is that a junk update or virus update. I found 2 threads in Google now that others had problems with similar updates also on Tiger.

It's not a virus/trojan if it came from Software Update.

Usually these things mess up if there's something else going on unexpectedly (like another bit of software messing with things it shouldn't), which is why I avoid things like Haxies or "Application Enhancers"...

I saw some people had problems with this update. I fixed it all with disc repair. It is just strange, since so far I never experienced that. Thanks
