Test new game Please...

Hi Flash folk,

Nothing new here, i mean the game...
Could you just test this game out for me and tell me if you find any bugs which i've not found.
At the moment there is 29 levels. Going to be 50+ levels.
Passwords will be changed in the final version.
Game 90% complete and on a temp web address...

Found several bugs while playing it:
*first level - no background music, cleared it but it never ended. Had to reset the level (now heared the music too) and finish again.
*level 4 I think. Removed blocks remained on stage, nothing was visible on that spot but I could not move there

Nice! but there was no bug for me, well, atleast not on first and second level

On the 4th level the upper green block sometimes doesn't fall all the way down if you move it first then break the blocks below it.

Also sometimes the levels won't complete when I've cleared them

tonypa the same thing has happened to me now and again where i have to reset because i could not advance to the next level. Sorting the problem out. There is no background music only when you reset or complete a level..

hatu i've not had this problem so i'll have to look out for that...

Hey ivors, looks good. I had the problem on the 2. level I reset and removed all of them again but still no luck

Also the code from level 1 was very hard to see and only displayed for a second!

Anyway i've updated the game and touch wood, there should not be any promblems.
All passwords have been changed...

I see the improvements you made since yesterday, it's coming along nicely.

I had an idea I thought I would toss out, you might want to make the backgrounds guessable at the begining of each level. Have a few tiles to choose from, and if the guess is right, bonus can be awarded once uncovered.

BTW- I feel stupid, I can't get level 11.

Also I'd suggest to put in a preloader and start the game only once its loaded completely.

No preloader as yet. Planning to when i sort out the few bugs.
It's very strange that bug you mentioned as i've never had it.
One question ? Does Flash skip frames. I'm asking because it looks like it's doing this...

I like your idea. I will look into it and tut tut for getting stuck on level 11.
They only get hard from level 20. Mind you it's easy for me...

If you're not putting in a preloader and letting the game start directly, that might be the root of some problems. Make sure game starts only after the game is loaded 100%.

Nice,

but as others found, it's buggy.
- had some events where I cleared the board, but nothing happened then (also level 4, but it happens randomly)
- had some events where I had one block left and it disappeared as if it hit another same colored block by moving it around

How to solve level 5? Am I stupid, or what?!? LOL

um i suggest to check your dropping method i had many issues their as many times the block would not drop even though there was nothing under it(idk if you only check when an event happens or actively check if theirs a block under or not however it appeared to me that you check only when an event occurs) but this was my main issue

one time I beat level4 but it didn't go on to the next level. I matched up all the blocks and nothing happened. Then i restarted the level and it worked.

I can't get past level 6. I just suck at puzzles I guess.

One of the early levels (2,3, or 4) didn't goto the next level when I beat it. Also I noticed that when I restart a level the score doesn't return to what it was when I started the level. It goes down some but not all the way.

Yeah i beat level 6 and it didnt go to the next level... so i got bored and broke my computers monitor... i threw it through the window.... its not good for the monitor... the pixels started pouring out... like water! ok i need to sleep...
