Create Thumbnail from SWF?

I have numerous SWF files. How can I generate jpg thumbnails from each swf? Preferably I'd like to generate a thumbnail from the middle of the SWF (For example, what it'd look like if you played it half way through)

I assume you mean from within flash. bitmapdata class might be some place to start looking.

No, I need to create it outside of Flash.

For instance, a user uploads a SWF file to my website, I need a PHP or something to create a jpg screenshot.

realistically, the only software that will display every swf correctly is flash player. While it is probably possible to convert a static swf into, say, a pdf, what you actually see might be largely determined by actions.
The only realistic way to approach that target would be a setup that combines a flash player with a screen capture tool

hi there. thx for all the solutions provided by you guys .
Once I used Adobe Acrobat. but it becomes more and more expensive for public users who haven;t got many swf files to process.
Even some workers in this erea choose a third party freeware.
As for me,Im willing to use thumbnail creating dll which is capable of generating thumbnail for SWF.
