    open-source interface

    Hi Kusco !

I only want to ask, when will be open-source interface introduced?
At the version 5 or already earlier ?

    And the one old position-feature-question?
Will it be possible whenever to type with a hand a width/height value?
Now it is only possible to see it (no change).

    cheers

The introduction of the open-source interface has been put on hold until after the release of the next version.

Open-source elements are vital to 3DFA's future, and we need to have a perfect implementation of the technology right from the start. There is no room for mistakes that might require incompatible revisions in the future.

It became apparent that 3DFA's internal class structure needed to be re-arranged, and the scripting engine needed to be optimized before setting a final standard.

These changes have been completed in version 4.9.8, which will be released in a few days. I think you can safely bet that the open-source element technology will be available around the end of this month.

Allowing the width and height values to be edited by hand produced unacceptable side effects, but we might take another look at this in the future.
    Cheers,
