I'm into my heavy/stomp blues atm...

    Black Diamond Heavies
    Scott H. Biram
    Left Lane Cruiser
    Son of Dave

And also the Black Keys have a new album coming out next month, so watch for that if you're into that kinda thing... (it's produced by dangermouse, could be interesting!)

The Black Keys - Strange Times

And some old acoustic blues... (could use some recommendations)

Skip James (probably the most accessible out of this list)
    Son House

Just recieved Tom Waits' Nighthawks at the Diner on vinyl today, heard it a hundred times before, a great intro into the way Tom Waits thinks and his humour.

I've actually been on a real techno/dance kick lately. I've been listening to the Justice album † quite a bit. Also I just saw the Hard Sell show with DJ Shadow/Cut Chemist/Kid Koala, so I've been listening to a healthy dose of that album along with their other stuff.

The teacher right? I thought it was him when I saw it, but it was such a bit part I figured it was just a look alike. Oh wait, it was a chemistry class right? Now I get it...

Yea, techno in the old sense has pretty much dried up and disappeared, but it still exist to some degree, most as dance music now. Check out the album "I love techno 07". There's a pretty solid mix of new techno tracks. http://www.ilovetechno.be/

I realize this probably won't be popular around here. But, country. I listen to just about everything. But, lately, I'm finding that country has the best modern vocalists.

Hah! Are you guilty of anything described in that song?

"Letter to Me" is a pretty good one by him also.

Agreed. Not a fan of the genre, but the talent is there.

Haha, you need to pick up Inhuman Rampage. That's the album Through the Fire and the Flames is on. Here's how to describe the album: Take the 7:21 of awesomeness in Through the Fire and the Flames, and multiply it by about 9 songs of equal or longer length.
