Animating a movieclip wth actioncript

Hi,

I would like to know how i can get a movieclip to move to a certain position when triggered by clicking on another movieclip. I am building a collapsible vertical menu system and i need to have the lower menus move down to reveal the menu selected.

I can get it to move instantly but i want to actually animate the movement and that is where i am getting stuck - aparrently for loops are a big no-no when it comes to animating. Any help greatly appreciated!

What kind of animation are you looking for exactly? That will be a good starting point for us...

Is this menu something that you can show us an example of via FLA file?
