Perhaps reading a bit too deep into it; don't really care. I'm enjoying some Johnny Cash.
Bought it. listened. the entire album has now depressed me like no other. For The Good Times and the placement of Aloha Oe has touched me amazingly.

I just wish most of the songs were written by him. Seems all of them are covers.

So I'm looking for some more quirky music along the lines of the new Gorillaz cd or that Die Antwoord group. Anyone?

I just made a mix for someone who has never heard Shpongle before or anything even close to that genre of music. It'll be interesting to see what she thinks as she's never even had a sip of alcohol before let alone anything else music....enhancing.

Damien Marley - Jam Rock. From the music festival I was at last summer. That guy waving the flag didn't just do it for that song- he did it the WHOLE set. That's dedication.

I've just found my old MXPX Let it Happen CD as well as Pink Floyd's The Final Cut. I'm 19 again. fits well for my early mid-life crisis i'm going through.

Both of those CD's have seriously influenced where i am today more than what i can explain.

    Love The Final Cut.

I also listened to that a zillion times around that age (daily on an old cassette walkman while painting valves at an oil refinery). I can't think of any musician that wrote better lyrics than Waters...

Ah the entire Spanish/Mexican music market owes its life to a few basic Polka beats. Never understood the devotion to it.
