Mutant Chronicles is good. Great use of steam-punk.

The Broken was the biggest waste of time in recent memory. Long drawn out shots and misplaced score drag you through a limp suspense to a nothing ending.

Does 3D actually work for you? All I see is red and blue outlines, with or without glasses. But with glasses, I constantly see red and blue everything! Not quite my ideal for watching a movie, but maybe my eyes work different then most, I don't know.

yea, new 3D is amazing. I watched Aliens vs Monsters and I only saw some part that looks a wee bit blurry on some edges but it didn't ruin the movie at all. Although, I'm not sure how it looks on other types of movie.

I have seen "Monsters vs Aliens", but I'm guessing it was not a 3D version. Although, I can't say for sure, but I didn't notice anything unusual, then again, it's a cartoon, so it's an easy trick for human eyes. Does the "new" 3D still require glasses, or can I burn those cardboard pieces of crap which never worked in the first place?
I just recently saw a pic of two people standing on what looks like a rubik's cube, it was completely 3 dimensional, but these two people were actually standing on a flat plane. But you'd never know it by looking from above. That was/is very cool... If the new 3D is anything like that, sign me up!

I went in expecting the worse due to a new generation, but I came out pleasantly surprised. I'm used to Picard, so stepping back in time after him or Kirk before him seems kinda weird to me. But it was a good movie, and I hope they continue with quality. Afterall, they have an icon on their hands as well as a major franchise, so they better not screw it up like they have so many others.

it's everything the old school 3D should have been and with that you'd still need special glasses.

somehow I think '9' could be the continuation of Wall-E! (since the bad guys and the settings are very similar)

post apocalyptic Earth due to the machines taking over versus machines making life so easy for Earthlings that littered their world to a new level of pollution. artificial intelligence versus rampant consumerism.

nah.. I wasn't thinking that deep.
*dont read below if you havn't seen the movies*
I was thinking few years after landing the villain of Wall-E was rebuilt to wreak havoc the still-fragile earth. The villain, smarting from last defeat, created own army and the scientist, learning from Wall-E, created robots with soul.

They still use Red and Blue it's just tinted and layered on the glass like a real sunglasses would have the gold tint as a see through filter, Just watched Christmas carol 3D, was amazed by the new levels then again it's much easier to adjust the stereo scope vision when it's all CGI to begin with, still can't wait to watch Avatar, when we went to Christmas Carol, it was only the four of us in the entire theater, felt like a private screening

because everyone has seen a christmas carol at some point in their life. there was ZERO reason to make another version.
Bill murray's is still the best one imho

Yeah I read a review on how it has no real meaning. Just a newer version to get the kids to beg their parents into the theater.
