flash pop up How to?

Hey All!

I'm trying to make a flash pop up window not a java/html one.
I think it would be using loadMovie() but I'm not to sure how to do it.
Here is the link of what I have done


What I want to happen is when you click on "show" the pop up window shows and everything in the background has an alpha of 50.
I've got this working

what I'm having trouble with is:

How do I set the position of the pop up window once it has loaded?
How do I disable everything behind the pop-up window and once the pop-up window is closed everything behind is enable again?
How can I refer to an instance name inside the loaded movie because the close button is in the pop-up window?

I've also attached my .fla. Any help will be great even a link to a tut will be help a lot.

Do you know how to do it with an internal movie?? Not external

I don't really need the next button in the image. Just the image to popup internally then the close button and back to the gallery.

Hey,

I tried to make another one that loads a movie clip from the library but couldn't get it working. I'm still new to all this so I'm not sure how to do a lot of these things.
I've attached the one I'd made that loads an swf maybe someone here can change it for you or you can play around and figure it out. I assume it uses the same concept.

Another option is the Alert component. Check it out in the help files.

I'm having a few issues with it at the moment, but it does what you're looking for.
