Sounds cool, but for the same reason I don't use twitter, I have a blog.

Chaos
F twitter, it deleted almost all of my followers.

I'm really interested to see how it works out. I'm wondering how the content will be organized if there are multiple Knols on the same subject? I suppose it will arrange the one with the highest rank first.
Wikipedia is very helpful. But, you have to watch it as some subjects get mangled there.

I was just looking at wikiscanner yesterday. http://wikiscanner.virgil.gr/
It's a tool that let's you go back and see all the edits that have been done to a particular wiki page and what IP the edit came from.
One that caught my attention was the page on Diebold, the company that makes most of our voting machines.
Apparently there were several edits from IPs owned by Diebold which deleted huge blocks of information about their scandals, conflicts of interest, lawsuits, external links to all the sources, as well as rewriting sections to add positive propaganda.
Makes you wonder if you can really trust anything on there...

You definitely have to follow the citations. Sometimes they just refer to some obscure blog as a reference. Other times there are biases in the language where they make sure to use words like 'alleged' for one side of a subject and state things as fact on the other.

Knol, Jaiku, Orkut, Sky... Google's not doing too well against some of it's competition outside of ads, mail and search.
In order: Wikipedia, Twitter, and Facebook/MySpace, and Microsoft Worldwide Telescope are all sorta better than the Google offerings.

One thing that is becoming more and more annoying is that the Google accounts used with Google Apps on non gmail domains are not fully integrated to work with all of their products. So, you just never know what products are going to work on what and have to have two accounts with them. Some things even work on the web but not on mobile for the same product.
