    My first real gallery almost official

    So I just got hooked up pretty well. If everything goes as well as we discussed(he is calling me back today) I will be having my first REAL art opening in 2 weeks. I hit the mother load too as it is RIGHT downtown. Also on the day of my opening I am allowed to setup that morning and the whole downtown is having their annual sidewalk sales. So there is going to be insane traffic passing the gallery. Then I am having my official opening 6-9 at night with a cash bar(rich people with a drink in them = sales)

    I am waiting patiently on the call now.

    It will be in what they call The Brick Box. It is attached to the Paramount theater and is a showcase gallery for local artist. It hasn't been open very long so it is still the new fresh place to get into.

    Make sure you have your payment stuff ready with the right licensing/copyright info when you sell works?

    Also have business cards at hand to hand out.

    I probably should post this in the movie thread but it's more related to this. Have you seen the recent HBO documentary about Chuck Connely? Worth watching on it's own right. But, don't end up like that!

    I haven't but will check it out now. There is an awesome BBC(I think?) series about photogrpahers I need to check out someone told me about.

    oh, was it a documentary/contest kinda thing where a bunch of photographers are given weekly assignments/tasks? something like that?

    i remember seeing bits of some episodes of that a while back.....

    congratulations, by the way, on the gallery- that sounds like a great opportunity and i really hope it leads onto bigger and better things too! your work is certainly good enough for it!
