This is a very true statement! I need to be creative. It's how my brain works. I really have no choice as don't many others here I am sure.

Okay, I may have overstated myself. Sure, I could do other types of work. But my experience in the past has been I only feel I fit in in a creative job.

i would also like to point out the obvious that he feels he fits into the creative job in the same way that a circle fits into a circle hole.
kind of like saying i am a good offensive player, but i only feel like i fit in on the defensive side.
Fitting in mentally. Not socially.
just my 4 cents.

Just had to quote that.

he disagrees because he is a very creative person, but chooses to do otherwise because that's how he makes more money and has less stress. In otherwords, you do have other choices.
And i have to say, after the day/few weeks i've had, design is a thankless profession.

Design, or any other job is as thankless as you make it. I've been on both sides... and honestly I find that good managers, the ones that you cannot complain about, is a thankless job.
But what do I care. People will complain about the wrong brand of tissue if given the chance.

I'm saying it should have been closed weeks ago.
But you know how it is, you get one of those 'creative' ideas for a post and just gotta share.
