I've added a character quiz and reading(word) comprehension quiz due in the pending update, so the full feature set now stands at:
    • Drawings/mnemonics for each character of both Hiragana and Katakana alphabets as well and pronounciation guide
    • Spoken examples of each character
    • a complete list of the variations/combinations for the characters
    • very basic grammar rules
    • character and reading comprehension quiz

I'd like to keep adding features, so any suggestions as to how to improve the application further?
Oh and did you ever end up trying the app out, Gerbick? What'd you think?

I hadn't had a chance to try it out... seems like I won't need to re-learn Japanese... looks like I'm having to learn Chinese now.

Career change, contract changes... like no other.

And I might still get time in 2009 to dev for the iPhone. Perhaps.

Hey, Dark Opal, I bought your app really nice, I'm quite happy with it, but if I don't learn the Hiragana, it's your fault!

The only thing I'd like to see is to be able to be able to slide each card with the finger (like you do in the photo gallery), I Find it better than having to press the buttons on the bottom.

    Anyway, cool app.
