    How to copyright a recipe??

    Anyone know??

I created a recipe, which some girls proclaimed Orgasmic, and some guys pronounced it Flavorful and Strong enough for guys yet it made them feel sophisticated, now I'm thinking of publishing it, but if there's a way to make a buck from it, why not, anyone know how to Patent a recipe worldwide and to get it copyrighted?

also what's the extent of protection a recipe's patent/copyright provides

An extra pinch of salt or a sprig of something would make it a different recipe?? or does it cover the minor modification like these??

Hurry up and help me so that I can provide you with the recipe -for a nominal fee of course-

you cant copyright a recipe, you can however lock it in a vault and never tell anyone.

One way to really copyright a recipe is to not tell anybody, and resell it yourself or through a company.

I reckon you'll make more bucks out of it by starting your own chain of "Ignoramous Flovable Delicacies" and selling that food.

Plus food is kinda easy to copy using a myriad of alternative ingredients. Eh?

    el-Ignoramus..

    Hi there.

A recipe is a list of ingredients and instructions..
Usually for publication. Otherwise it is not really a recipe...

Bear in Mind you can buy books containing dozens of recipes by famous Cooks and Chefs for 20.00.

So an individual recipe might not be worth very much.

Also recipes are just a guide, as ingredients vary so much, results will be
different. I have followed lots of recipes with disasterous results, while
experimenting seems to get better results.

"Creating a recipe, which some girls proclaimed Orgasmic" might help sales.

Just stick with the girls. Forget the profit :-)
If someone tells you it can't be done,
it's probally because they don't know how.

here is a little tidbit iv found out on food girls think is orgasmic.

Take some choclate and melt it down, and then use it to cover some more chocolate, which is then used on chocolate cake with chocolate frosting.

The ingrediants are not a secret. The portioning is.

One really has to be careful with secret receipe's. In a civil court it's a reciepe for disaster. Some ingrediants could easily spur an alergic reaction that could be fatal to certain individuals.

Coca-Cola's attempts to keep the recipe secret are matters of legend -- it pulled out of India in 1977 rather than divulge its formula to the Government.
