Do you support that kind of rhetoric for your candidate at his rallies?

Joe the Plumber... he's not a licensed plumber. Nor is he registered to vote.

lol. The machine is even going after Joe the plumber...
If he makes more than $250k, I'm guessing that he's more of a manager of plumbers than a plumber himself. But, maybe I'm underestimating how much they make. I heard it pays quite well actually.

Haha... The machine IS Joe the Plumber.
Joe the Plumber isn't a manager and doesn't make anywhere close to $250,000.
He is just another cheap Republican shill planted to make propaganda to convince the morons to vote against their own best interests again... no offense to the morons... they can't help it.
BTW, I was a licenced plumber and even owning your own shop with other plumbers and apprentices under you, you still are damn lucky to clear $100k after expenses.
That "Joe the Plumber" skit was a load of bulls*** meant to suck people like you deeper into the partisan fold.
I was also a union carpenter, cabinet maker, apprentise electrician, certified AC mechanic, refrigeration recovery and Universal level tech, and maintenance supervisor for Trammell Crow, one of the largest property management companies in the US.
I hate to say it but most times you make a lot more $ in the trades working for a parent corp than you can on your own.
Right now I am back in a union, CWA, thank god, and also run a couple of small businesses.
I have to say with all honesty that I make a lot more and a lot more consistantly working for someone else than I do on my own.
If I want some extra disposable cash, I'll work extra hours at doubletime pay each day to cover that need.
When I get home, I have web projects lined up end-to-end waiting on me from word-of-mouth but those big, random checks come when they come.
My union paycheck comes ontime every two weeks and I can depend on it thanks to my union contract.

That may be true. I haven't seen anything credible showing that though. But, it doesn't really matter since it's completely beside the point.
What you seem to be suggesting is that there is nobody who could have asked that question of Obama that wouldn't be immediately discounted as deserving to be taxed more or wouldn't need the money to help their business.

Some people need the security of knowing what time and day their check is arriving. Most of the time, to my observation, they pay a premium for that. In my case, running a business has been far better than the employee alternatives.

He said it himself in an interview that he was contacted by McCain's office, didn't make $250k a year... and the business? He was talking about that 6 years ago.
I think it's all in the Katie Couric interview. That's quite credible to me. Not unless I missed what you were saying was not credible. Which - and I'm admitting possible fault here - I might be missing.

Would I support someone saying, at a McCain rally, "Today was a good day... I didn't even use the AK?"
Only if they were simply singing the words of the song. In that case, I would support it because it brings back memories of high-school and college.

What about the "Kill 'em" types? Or the video?
Do you support that?
Just thought I'd put it out there again.
Oh... and at the McCain visit to Spartanburg, SC last November (or so), it was nothing like that.

Good question.
During the debate McCain whined that he'd always repudiated every attack against Obama... what a lie.
McCain stopped and questioned one single, solitary senile old woman who thought Barack was an "Arab".
What about every time his supporters screamed "Terrorist!", "KILL HIM!", or "Off With His Head!" at his and Sarah's rallies?
I never heard him once repudiate those or the disgusting "Palling around with terrorists" line that Bubble-head America-hating Barbi spewed on her campaign stops...
WTF is up with that?!?
This whole thing is beneath contempt.

Please spare me the fake disgust. You're a big boy that can post graphics with Palin's head on a porn body with comments about "drilling." Then turn around and call "palling around with terrorists" disgusting. And you say that you admire my blindness. You've seriously lapped me in that contest a number of times now.

Are you seriously equating some satirical photoshop fun with inciting a mob to violence/assassination?
wow.

Fixed, and yes.

I don't support that. Me preferring individually McCain's policies over Obama's does not mean that I support everything that every McCain supporter says. Nor does it mean that it's reasonable or logical for anyone to assume that I do until proven otherwise.
I also think that those statements are a non-story in light of the fact that equally offensive garbage has been widely available against McCain and Palin for a long time. There are people with demented ideas on both sides of the issue.

Thank you for the link.
I think that watching this interview and also his comments in the Obama video clear up the 250k. He never said that he was making that amount. He said that he might buy a company that could make that much. Him being asked to be at a rally doesn't mean that his question for Obama was planned by McCain either.
Whatever his motivation is is really beside the point. All Joe does here is to put a face on the people that could have their taxes raised. If he isn't really one of those, someone else is and Obama's answer to them is that we should spread the wealth around.

Maybe instead of debates and press conferences we should just require the candidates to fill out a very detailed "Job Application" so it would be easier to do checks on everything they have said.
And if we find out after they have been elected that they lied on their application then it would be easier to fire them.
I was watching a show on PBS the other night that was supposed to be about the true history of both Obama and McCain, but I missed most of it due to the whole blindness incident.
Are there any non biased web sites that list only the known facts on the candidates?

http://factcheck.org is a nonpartisan, nonbiased source for factchecking claims made by both candidates in the debates and their ads.
http://snopes.com is a nonpartisan, nonbiased source for checking on email rumors.

That is the whole point of one side running a dirty campaign and overwhelming the voters with tons of negative attack ads.
It's not to get people to come out and vote for your guy.
It's actually the opposite goal of voter surpression.
It's a tactic designed to oversaturate the average voter with so much negativity that it bleeds over in the mind of the voter to your opponent's campaign as well making the voter think everyone is doing it, they're BOTH liars, and hopefully get frustrated enough that they stay home and don't vote.
It seems to have worked in your case, even though if you look at the actual ads and what is said at the rallies by the candidates, you would see that one side is employing negativity, fearmongering, and character assassination ("palling around with terrorists") while the other side is running a campaign based on the issues, a message of hope, and speaking respectfully of his opponents.
The difference between the campaigns is black and white.
I'm sure somebody will take that wrong...
McCain's own campaign manager publicly stated that they can't run on the issues and have to make the election about Obama's character if they want to win so that's their strategy.
It's pretty clearcut if you take the time to follow both campaigns, do your due dilligence and use the internet to research the claims they both make.
While I am biased one way, and FL is biased the other way, it doesn't mean there is no truth between us.
The truth is always there for those that seek it.

Not that I know of. factcheck.org is not unbiased. I can't say for snopes.
The best thing, imo, is to understand the subject in question and look at the raw data.
Also, the best source for understanding politics without bias is just to watch the process unfiltered. Watch C-SPAN. It's a lot different than watching the sound bites that news agencies pick and feed.
I honestly can't comprehend how any intelligent person could remain a Democrat after watching C-SPAN and witnessing, uncensored who is saying what. Hearing after hearing, even in a Democrat controlled congress, you will see Democrats putting their fingers in their ears when the panel experts are talking just to use their 5 minutes for a mini-commercial to constituents.

Do you have any evidence to back that up?
I have yet to see anything they've published that was biased and I receive their email alerts everyday.
They've got no problem with slamming either side on a falsehood.

The political stunts the Repubs pull on C-SPAN are just as bad if not worse.
C-SPAN is political theatre at it's finest.
