I wore a sweater this morning... and then had to turn the AC on by about 2pm... that's about as close to snow as I'll get.
It should be back in the 80's by the weekend.

We have to replace one of those as well. Still trying to weigh the choice between repair and getting a new one and whether we should shop around. I think I'm just delaying the inevitable. They're expensive.

I was born in Wy so I've been in some serious snow, but I hear there's a serious chill factor out here. I'm moving in late Nov. That oughta be fun.

the first year will be the worst, its going to be a winter of trying to find the best mix of clothing in order to allow yourself to confortably travel outside to the differnt locations (car, house, work, shopping center, hospital, etc.) where you will be warm but not to hot. at first you will over dress, causing heavy sweating which is cause you to want to open your window while you are driving because you are to hot. Do not do this. Then you will dress to light and be cold while walking outside, but be fine inside.

Eventually you will find the right balance and it will be all good.

where abouts on the east coast are you moving to? If it's NYC you won't have to worry too much. Something about the location doesn't bring a lot of snow that way and with all the cars and transit in the city, everything is about 15 degrees warmer than it says on the thermometer. The only issue is flying out of there if there's a storm. JFK is backed up as it is.

    If it's anywhere else....good luck...and hope your UHaul has 4-wheel drive..lol

ah. VA is gorgeous. You'll acclimate just fine to the weather there. You get a full 4 months of every season and the winters are generally mild. Just have fun with the traffic. yuk.

We had snow here in ID about a month ago. Haven't seen anything since, although tonight it's raining and that might turn into snow.

Last year we had a record amount of snow. I'm like Wannabe--I don't do snow sports and have no use for the stuff.

I can never raise the hand, not that I have a war injury like McCain, simply because it never snows where I live.
However, I also fell the season change. It started raining two days ago.
