Whoa! the file sized jumped for no reason?

So I am playing around with some random ideas and when I went to publish a swf file to test, I see that the file size has jumped from around 400k to 2 megs! I have no added any new content to my site except for some action script.

    What the heck happened??

Hmm, i assumed it was just a quirk, so I re-saved under a different file name and everything seems normal now.

Except, now I found my total file size at 553k. I deleted a large (248k) sound file from the timeline and library, then exported the new swf to find the size is now at 660k??

Since when does deleting files make the swf bigger? Am i missing something?

I sometimes get this, Strangely enough the way I get round it is before I publish a final .swf I save and compact the fla.
