    Post One Year!

Today I celebrating 1 year being Indie! Few facts from my experience.

I have released more than 10 games, which brings me more than 40k$.
    Where 41% - money from licenses, 33% - from ads in games, 26% - others(contests, url-locked, sources).

In total - my games was loaded more then 40m times.

The most money game - EF:Conquest, tnx to sponsor.
The easiest to develop - EF:Clone Wars, and the best spread game.
    Best sponsor - Mindjolt.
Most disaster game - Star Ship. 1800$ in the end for 2 people.
Games, which was frozen to any reason, where dis-docs were ready, tech-demos works, and art more than 50% - 5 items.

feel free to ask questions =) i`m not richest one, but few good advise i can give, i believe =)

By licenses, do you mean you actually like sold the game for a lump of cash?

Congrats man! that sounds pretty good Seems like you work fast, the more I've got done in 1 year was 6 or 7. Did you contact sponsors individually or any other way? I've recently used flashgamelicense and it worked quite awesome how have you done it?

Hey, I was thinking about using flashgamelicense when I get done with my game. I was also thinking about http://www.mygame.com/sponsorship.jsp or http://www.mochiads.com/. Have u tried either of those?

I'm not shure about mygame and mochiads as I haven't used any of them. As far as I know you can get good money out of mochiads if your game is very good and gets a lot of exposure. Mygame sounds good actually as they also pay you extra revenue for the plays your game gets. The advantage that I found really (and I mean really) useful in flashgamelicense is the bid system they have, because that makes sponsors offer more and more for your game if they really want it. That can make your game get what a sponsor wouldn't offer you at first, cus that can push them to give what they would pay the most for your game.

Congrats, that's a really good position to be in. How the heck did you make 10 games in a year though?

You will have to use all of them: FLG - for finding sponsor, mygame - just 1 sponsor, mochiad - for ads running in game.

I prefer call that - selling space in game =)

nonono, this place is first to do, just i also post this news in others blogs(dtf, MA, FLG, TA etc). and was some problems to answer before i was able to post it here(tax questions, copyright issue, etc), now all resolved. Idea of all this post - is to show how indie flash game developers doing =)

even it rhetoric - i made around 14 games, and just put 2 new games on FLG =) I`m using same interfaces, gameplay. Improving aswell, so in the and i spend less time and money to develop, and make better games then first parts.

It is certainly interesting to see such frank discussion of figures and sponsorship amounts for not only your own, but other developers games on your blog..

Is this your only job? I take it $40k is a good wage in Russia?
