I've lived in nyc my whole life and I don't know a single person who has had white castle more than once a year.

Read my post...'metro area' includes a lot more than NYC. Incidentally, I lived in NYC (Manhattan) for well over 30 years of my life. Made trips up to 123rd and 1st in Harlem many more times than once per year.
@silver...
Burger king is a higher grade meat
I have to really disagree with this statement. Really. Like I said, both joints use beef that is barely passable for human consumption. Passable at best.

looks like someone needs to put together a blind taste test.

No White Castle here in Cali for me to do the proper fresh test. I'll be glad to match In-N-Out up to BK though.

in-and-out wins hands down. trying to argue against in and out is like trying to say the moon isnt real.

You'd have to ask the Indian lunar mission astronauts.

While I'll discontinue arguing against this very subjective topic, I do have to say that White Castle is certainly a good factor in reminding us all how important various types of 'foods' are in continuing to maintain proper bodily functions, no matter how bad they might smell on the way out.

Physical location has nothing to do with overal quality. would you rather eat a piece of crap in a 5 star resturant, or a filet migon in a cardboard box in an alley?
Regardless of location the quality is key.
Burger king is a higher grade meat, cooked on a grill
White castle is meat is almost as bad as tacobell.
go ahead, have someone blind taste test it. they will agree that bk > whitecastle in taste and quality.
Doesn't personal taste preference enter the equation at some point though?
I'll admit sliders aren't near the 'quality' of BK (although I wouldn't label either quality), but I know a lot of people that would take the former over the later any day of the week. To some, sliders is something you crave. BK is something you simply enjoy.
To each his own though. I've never been a huge fan, but do get that craving every so often ... probably harkens back to my college days when we'd hit up either Whities, Taco Bell or this dive called Labambas (claiming burritos as big as your head ... and were darn close) after a long night out.

You're just upset since you found out which part of the chicken they get the chicken rings from.

lol. Here we go with the in-and-out fetishism again. They aren't bad. But, having lived near them for years, I never understood the cult following.
Burgerville is better than all chains, including in-and-out.

I believe you're correct ... or at least it seems so. At least 3 within a 5 minute drive from my house.
