Spilling Liquid Transition

I'm looking for an effect that would look like paint being poured into a tray. The way it spreads out until it hits the edges of the container it's poured into... Does anyone know of a component or tutorial that is similar to what I'm trying to accomplish? Thanks for any help in advance!

Create a mask to define the "edges" of your paint tray and then just do a shape tween underneath it to represent the paint...
