    Road Runner (rr.com) finally finished

Unfortunately, one of the best all-flash web apps ever ... rr.com ... is gone.

I went on the site today and it's been changed to a more streamlined, more late 2000's type of news site. Good for them, although I LOVED the look, fell and customization of the old F-i site.

Time moves on I guess. Here's to one of the best sites ever made!

Pics wouldn't do it justice. You'd never know it was a flash site by looking at it.

As big of an F-I fan as I am, I was never impressed with the old rr.com. It made absolutely no sense to be all Flash like that. It just made things slow and unusual to use.

I'm actually liking the new site much more. The whole Time Warner brand in my opinion is looking real nice and refreshing. They just need better internet services before I kill them.

I just bumped into the site today and it took me by darn surprise... :'(

Does fi know of it? Coz their portfolio still shows screenshots of the old RR.com and links to the current version. And just to think of it, wasn't this a similar case with MTV.com as well?

I guess portals are just heading towards web standards now. It's the trend now I guess: accessiblity first, then design. But I do very much miss fi's RR though. Hope they have it archived somewhere.
